MIKUMI NATIONAPARK
- Mikumi is the most popular park in Tanzania and is an important center for education, where students go for ecology and conservation courses.
- The Mikumi flood plain, with its open grasslands, dominates the park together with the mountain ranges that border the Park on two sides.
- Lions and wild dogs are commonly seen; elephant may be encountered and other animals frequently observed are giraffe, zebra, wildebeests, buffalo, hartebeest, eland, crocodiles, monitor lizards and pythons. Also hippos, yellow baboon and warthog.
