Tanzania, The Northern circuit - Mt. Kilimanjaro

• Is the highest snow capped mountain in Africa.
• Formally known as the devil’s mountain, that no one can reach the summit and return back alive, hence its name from the Chagga tribe, a dominant tribe around the Mountain. The word Kilimanjaro is derived from the word “Kyalema-Kyaro” meaning impossible safari.
• Mt. Kilimanjaro has three distinct peaks. Uhuru/Kibo peak is the highest (5,895masl), Mawenzi (5,149masl) and Shira plateau (3,962masl).
